Case Study
Town-wide parking analysis across 3,000 spaces in a high-demand mountain resort environment.
Managing parking demand for residents, workforce commuters, and seasonal visitors is a constant challenge for mountain resort communities. The Town of Breckenridge commissioned a town-wide parking study to evaluate utilization across on-street spaces and surface parking lots in a high-demand mountain resort environment serving residents, workforce commuters, and visitors. Parkalytics supported DJ&A’s software-led analysis by overseeing data quality, validation workflows, and platform delivery, ensuring consistency across seasonal survey periods and user groups.
The study was conducted at an altitude of 10,000 feet, with surveys running 14 hours, from 6am to 8pm. The data was used to assess supply hierarchies, occupancy, turnover, and permit versus paid parking allocation. Deliverables will help inform long-term parking management strategies, fee structures, signage improvements, and implementation planning aligned with the Town’s quality-of-life and congestion-reduction goals.
